Tip: Create Dynamics on Multiple Staves
-
- In Dorico 2.2, it is possible to create dynamics on multiple staves at once.
- Simply make a selection in more than one staff and input the dynamic as usual.
- It also works when using the popover.
Tip: Smarter popovers in Dorico 2.2
- In Dorico 2.2, type Return or double-click any item in Write mode, and the relevant popover will open, pre-filled with the existing input.
- Return/double-click still starts note input when notes or rests are selected, and you can always use Shift+N to start note input.
Tip: Chord symbols appearance presets
-
- Change the appearance of all chord symbols in your project by selecting one of the presets in Engraving Options.
- The presets set several options from the various categories across the Chord Symbols page so that the overall style resembles one of a number of commonly-used formats. There are several presets to choose from.
- Once you have selected a preset, you can still override any of the individual options if required.
Tip: Choral divide arrows
- Dorico adds divide arrows to choral staves at a divisi automatically.
- Complimentary arrows are also added when restoring unisons.
- This behaviour can be controlled via an Engraving Option, on the Divisi page.
Tip: Select an item positioned behind other items
- When music items are positioned very close together, it can be difficult to select the desired item because the objects overlap.
- Simply hold Shift+Alt when clicking to select the item behind.
- This can be useful when working with signposts.
