Tip: Move an instrument to a different player
- Switch to Setup mode.
- Disclose the player card that contains the instrument you wish to move by clicking on its arrow.
- Drag the instrument to the new player card. The card does not need to be disclosed.
- Dorico combines the music for both instruments onto one staff automatically, including handling the correct labelling for instrument changes.
Tip: Use different noteheads in your music
- Choose a different notehead design for your project by opening Engraving Options and setting the first option on the Notes page.
- Or change just the noteheads of specific notes by selecting them, right-clicking and choosing a set from the Noteheads menu.
Tip: Hide the number and bracket for repeated tuplets
- Open Engraving Options and choose the Tuplets page.
- Scroll down to the Repeated Tuplets section and set the first option to Hide ratio and bracket.
- Control the number of repeated tuplets allowed before the ratio and bracket are hidden using the next option.
Tip: Move or duplicate music to the staff above or below
- Select one or more notes.
- Right-click and choose Paste Special > Move to Staff Above or Below. You can also use the key commands Alt+N or Alt+M.
- There are also similar commands for duplicating the music to the adjacent staves.
Tip: Change the time display in the mini transport
- By default, the mini transport readout display bars, beats and ticks.
- Click the time display to show the total elapsed time for all all flows.
- Click again to display the timecode for the current flow.
- Click once more to cycle back to displaying bars, beats and ticks.
