Tip: Change the size of music items by setting a scale value
- Make a selection and open the Properties panel.
- Enable the Scale property and choose an option from the menu.
- Alternatively, enable the Custom scale property and choose any value to scale the items to.
- Custom scale values can be set for all types of music item.
Tip: Change the appearance of the symbol at the start of a pedal line
- Select a pedal line and open the Properties panel.
- Enable the Sign appearance property and choose an option from the menu.
- You can change the appearance of all pedal lines in your project in Engraving Options.
Tip: How to add flared ends to hairpins
- Select a hairpin.
- Switch to Engrave mode.
- Open the Properties panel.
- Enable the Flared end property.
- There are Engraving Options for controlling the width and height of the flared ends.
Tip: Give your scores a handwritten look by changing the music font
- Switch to Engrave mode.
- Open the Engrave menu and choose Music Fonts…
- Select Petaluma and press OK.
- The default music and text fonts used to render the score will update to use the Petaluma family which emulate the appearance of handwritten scores.
Tip: Introducing the Playing Techniques editor
- Select a playing technique then click the edit button in the Playing Techniques panel.
- You can edit many aspects of the playing technique, including its visual appearance and its playback properties.
