Tip: How to add flared ends to hairpins

 

  1. Select a hairpin.
  2. Switch to Engrave mode.
  3. Open the Properties panel.
  4. Enable the Flared end property.
  5. There are Engraving Options for controlling the width and height of the flared ends.

Tip: Give your scores a handwritten look by changing the music font

 

  1. Switch to Engrave mode.
  2. Open the Engrave menu and choose Music Fonts…
  3. Select Petaluma and press OK.
  4. The default music and text fonts used to render the score will update to use the Petaluma family which emulate the appearance of handwritten scores.

  1. Select a playing technique then click the edit button in the Playing Techniques panel.

  3. Choose a new beat unit. It can include dotted or double dotted beat values.
