Tip: How to add flared ends to hairpins
- Select a hairpin.
- Switch to Engrave mode.
- Open the Properties panel.
- Enable the Flared end property.
- There are Engraving Options for controlling the width and height of the flared ends.
Tip: Give your scores a handwritten look by changing the music font
- Switch to Engrave mode.
- Open the Engrave menu and choose Music Fonts…
- Select Petaluma and press OK.
- The default music and text fonts used to render the score will update to use the Petaluma family which emulate the appearance of handwritten scores.
Tip: Introducing the Playing Techniques editor
- Select a playing technique then click the edit button in the Playing Techniques panel.
- You can edit many aspects of the playing technique, including its visual appearance and its playback properties.
Tip: How to change the beat unit of a tempo
- Create a tempo and select it.
- Open the Properties panel.
- Choose a new beat unit. It can include dotted or double dotted beat values.
Tip: Dorico plays back repeats automatically
- Set up you repeats and Dorico will play them back automatically, regardless of how complex the repeats structures get.
