Tip: Quickly adapt existing music using Lock to Duration

  1. Enable note input at the start of the passage you wish to rewrite using the same note durations.
  2. Click the Lock to Duration button in the Notes toolbox, or use the key command L.
  3. Dorico will lock the position and durations of the existing notes making it very quick and easy to re-input your music with different pitches.
