So, if I have an update license from Dorico 3.0 to Dorico 3.5 (buyed a few months ago) and I activate it now, I would have Dorico 4 when it release?
@David: Yes, if you activate a new Dorico 3.5 license after the start of this promotion, you will be entitled to a free grace period update to Dorico 4 when it is released.
Hi! How would this work when I upgrade my Dorico Elements 3.5 (Education) to Dorico Pro 3.5 using the Education version? I work as a music teacher and use Dorico to produce score, so I can prove I’m eligible for this upgrade. Even though it’s not a part of this discount, would it still grant me access to Dorico 4 once it’s released? Thanks for your reply!
@Richard: Yes, any new Dorico Pro 3.5 license that is activated after 25 August will be eligible for a grace period Dorico Pro 4 update when Dorico 4 is released, even if the license was not purchased as part of this promotion.
Does that include purchasers who cross-graded from a Finale license during this promotion?
@Bill: Yes, it does.
Great product your Dorico Pro! I´m interested in the Summer Offer but I don´t see it in the education Shop. Is this offer valid for teachers?
Thanks.
@Jose: I’m sorry, but educational products are not included in this promotion.
How, at normal price, to upgrade from Dorico 2.2 to 3.5?
@Robert: You need to buy this update.
Hi!
If I buy the educational crossgrade from Sibelius to Dorico 3.5 Pro, will I still be eligible for the free grace period?
Thanks
@Jack: Yes, you will. Any new Dorico 3.5 license activated on or after the start of this promotion will be eligible for a grace period update to Dorico 4 upon its release, even if it was not purchased specifically as part of this promotion.
Hi Daniel,
Is there a discount price to upgrade from the current 3.5 pro to version 4?
@Christopher: No, there’s no discount available for as-yet-unreleased products, sorry!
Version 4 isn’t available yet and there isn’t likely to be a discount when it’s first released, sorry.
Hi,
I am currently using DORICO ELEMENTS 3.5 and would like to take up your offer to upgrade to DORICO PRO 3.5.
I have tried several times using different methods of payment to take up your 30% SUMMERSALE DISCOUNT.
I am repeatedly being told that my Payment Failed.
I have tried PAYPAL.
I have given my Bank Details and received the Verification from the Bank that everything is in order using the Code that was Texted to me.
There is more than enough money in my Ban Account.
Can you please suggest what the problem is.
I would very much like to take up the offer of the SUMMERSALE.
Please advise as to what I should do.
Get in touch with me by email on j.barron at steinberg.de and I’ll see what I can find out. It may just be that your bank thinks that an international payment is unusual and you could ask them about it (since Steinberg is in Germany), but I’m not then sure why you had issues with Paypal.
I wish this sale existed a few months ago. I paid full price on July 9th!
Hi,
Probably a silly question, but will ask anyway. Learned about the $200 Sibelius/Finale upgrade sale from Frank Heckel’s ASMAC program last week. He made the sale!
Question: Tried to purchase today (9/23), but you guys need a couple of days to process my Sibelius registration.
Though I’ll be paying after 9/23, is my price still 200 bucks?
Thanks,
John
P.S. I am (soon to be “was”) a long-time Sibelius user and fan.
@John: You should hopefully find that you are able to complete the purchase at the special offer price if it goes through today, but if for some reason you are unable to complete the purchase at the special offer price, complete the purchase at the full price and then email your sales receipt to me at d dot spreadbury at steinberg dot de, and I will arrange for you to receive a rebate equivalent to the price reduction.
Thanks Daniel.
Very much appreciated.
Please make sure Frank gets at least one of those fine local brews I sampled in countless German villages many years ago.

I’m just finding about about this sale…and I’m apparently two days too late for it! Don’t know if I just dismissed the e-mails about it or what. Was really hoping to upgrade from Elements to Pro. Is there any way I can still get the discount? Or am I going to have to pay the full upgrade cost at this point?
@John: Sorry to hear that you missed out on the sale by a couple of days. If you email me at d dot spreadbury at steinberg dot de I can see what I might be able to do to help.
Hi! I’m a student, a user of Sibelius and would like to crossgrade from Sib to Dorico. I’ve tried a month of Dorico and it really is so convenient!! I saw on Dorico website that the crossgrade under education is 159.99 bucks, and wonder if any discounts later this year would make it even more affordable? And when will Dorico 4 be released? (I just saw this promotion page and regretted that I didn’t see it earlier!!) Thank you!
@Yuwan: Thanks for your comment. There are no promotions expected that would affect the education crossgrade price, I’m afraid, but the good news is that if you buy now, you will receive a free update to Dorico 4 when it arrives.
